There are, actually, four different kinds of honey. They are: pure natural honey, organic honey, raw honey, and manuka honey.

Visit any reasonable-sized supermarket and you’re sure to discover a tremendous selection and choice of honey. Unless you’re really clued-up, it’s hard to know which one to pick. It’s so tempting to stretch out and pluck the cheapest jar from the shelf, or the one with the prettiest packaging. But these aren’t necessarily the best. So, let’s take a look at different types of honey so that you’ll better understand them, knowing which ones to select and which will be the most beneficial.

Pure Natural Honey

If you’re after a good quality, straightforward honey, you should go for pure natural honey. You’ll be able to tell whether or not it’s pure honey simply by reading the label on the jar. If no extra ingredients have been added then you’ve got pure honey, and this is what you want. As with most honeys, the color and flavor will vary according to the flowers and plants from which the honey bees collected nectar. For example, depending on where you live, you could have a choice of lavender, sage, thyme, orange, clover … plus many, many more.

Organic Honey

In order to produce organic honey, the beekeeper has to follow an extremely strict set of rules and undergo stringent testing. For example, the bees have to be at least a certain distance away from contamination and pollution, equipment has to be squeaky clean and free of unapproved chemicals, only low heat can be used, and accurate and traceable labeling is required.

Raw Honey

Raw honey is perhaps Nature’s purest medicine, for it’s the honey still in its untouched state. You’re most likely to find this locally, perhaps at your nearby farmers market. If commercially produced, raw honey can only be labelled as such when minimum processing and low temperatures have taken place.

As well as having the super healthy components of other types of honey, true raw honey is likely to contain such beneficial ingredients as pollen, Propolis, beeswax, and parts of the honeycomb. Fortunately, the beekeepers tend to strain out any dead bees!

Active Manuka Honey

Manuka honey is also worth a mention for it contains a powerful phytochemical and is particularly effective in stimulating hydrogen peroxide, making it an excellent healer for open infected wounds and burns, not to mention internal ailments. Manuka honey comes from the Manuka tree, found in New Zealand. You need to take care when buying it, for there are many fakes. Check the label to see that it states the Unique Manuka Factor (UMF). Number 16 or above is ideal.

Whichever honey you choose, pick a good quality one. Spend less money on pills and potions, more on honey and you’ll be well-rewarded both health and beauty-wise.

Honey, with all it’s uses, can also be used for a facial treatment. But using the Manuka honey that comes from New Zealand is even better.

In the past, having a facial was something a person did as a luxury or for a serious skin condition. But luckily today men and women have so many options for skincare, and facials have become a ritual for many. A skincare therapist can perform the most effective techniques upon your skin using active ingredients. The latest guilty pleasure on the scene is a honey facial.

If you didn’t know it already, honey is one of the best sources for vitamins and amino acids-elements your skin needs to keep healthy. There are some dynamic forms of honey that contain high levels of antioxidants. And it all comes from bee pollen. This age-old natural substance produces almost all of the B vitamins and a host of others.

And some say the most effective type of honey used in skincare comes from New Zealand. Things like manuka honey face gel and night cream are made from honey that’s derived from the county’s wild flora. In fact, the country grows signature flowers and trees that are almost totally unique to the islands, which makes this form of honey so special.

That’s why upscale spas and boutique skincare producers are utilizing manuka honey for facial services and products. An effective form of beauty treatment, a facial can help your skin stay young and healthy. A professional skincare person will use a variety of substances and techniques to help enhance your skin. A spa service can include everything from oil and gel treatments to massage and steam procedures.

Some professionals will suggest that you visit for a consultation before the facial. During this time, a therapist will evaluate your skin type and texture, and design a facial to meet the needs of your skin and its condition. Conveniently, this can take place right at the beginning of your appointment. A big part of the facial process is to rehydrate, moisturize and nourish your skin.

A hot trend in skincare is an organic facial. Like supermarkets and produce vendors, skincare companies are getting on the organic bandwagon. An organic facial is ideal for a person with sensitive skin because it does not have any chemical irritants.

A popular new trend at spas is a honey facial. Honey’s ability to retain water makes it a great ingredient for a facial. And some facial experts are even mixing honey with ground almonds to exfoliate dead skin cells from skin.

Another discovery professionals have made is using honey to soothe the skin. In fact, its antibacterial and antioxidant power makes manuka honey face gel a good organic solution to acne flare-ups. This special honey digs deep into the pores of the skin to cleanse it without any discomfort.

Some honey-based products are even made with other proven ingredients, such as Cynergy TK.

A honey facial will take away drab layers of dead skin cells and transform the skin to look vibrant and glowing.

An effective honey facial will get to the root of a skin condition and work to fix it.

Furthermore, when manuka honey is used on the face it can soothe irritations and cleanse well beneath the skin’s surface.

To learn more about this amazing natural substance “Cynergy TK” which has been proven in clinical trials and other substances like it that can improve the appearance of your skin, visit my website today.

Wouldn’t we all just love to have young-looking skin forever? In a society wherein appearance is basically the most important thing, we put a lot of stuff on our skin with the hopes of making it beautiful.

With so many synthetic and toxic ingredients in skin care products these days, it is getting more and more difficult to find quality organic anti aging creams. If you are anything like me, this concerns you. Luckily, I have found a number of products that only contain high quality, natural, organic ingredients. So, without further ado, here are three of the best natural ingredients that all organic anti aging creams should contain.

1. Nano-lipobelle H EQ10

It has a complicated name, but this ingredient should be on the label of all organic anti aging creams in my opinion. It penetrates seven layers of your skin, fighting free radical skin cell damage which would leave your skin dry, tired, faded and aging if you didn’t use this powerful antioxidant.

2. Grapeseed oil

Another deep penetrating antioxidant that is completely natural is grapeseed oil. This ingredient creates an invisible film on your skin and keeps moisture in. It is especially effective on eye wrinkles and contains linoleic acid which is a very potent oil necessary for optimum skin health.

3. Active Manuka honey

Honey has been an ingredient in many organic anti aging creams over the years, but active manuka honey is a little bit different. It contains unique enzymes that are scientifically proven to heal skin. It is gathered from the manuka bush in New Zealand and these special properties are known as the Unique Manuka Factor. Basically, UMF active manuka honey is the absolute best honey you can use and is proven to restore and rejuvenate skin, making it look younger and softer.

SECRET BONUS TIP!

If you want to find powerful and organic anti-aging creams, strip years away from your age and banish wrinkles, age spots and sagging skin for good: you need to do your research! Find proven natural skin care products that do what they say and you will discover, like I did, that staying young and beautiful is not as difficult as brand name manufacturers would have you believe!

Visit http://www.natural-skin-care-now.com to discover the exact same secrets and lies I discovered that brand name skin care products do not want you to know!

I am so thankful that I have no problems on baldness, but there are people who are close to me who are suffering from thinning hair. My husband is one of them. They have tried just about any home and commercial remedy they could, without any really big results. Or maybe, not yet.

You wonder to yourself, are you ever going to get rid of male baldness? Everyday you wake up and go into the bathroom only to find out that you have lost more hair. You only wish there was something you could do right now that would work. I’m going to tell you about several home remedies. Some may work for you and others may not. So try them, what do you have to lose?

  • Try mixing 1 tablespoon of organic cinnamon powder with 2 tablespoons of organic honey. Then add enough olive oil to make a paste. Apply the paste to your scalp. Leave it on 20 minutes and then wash off.
  • Get some Rosemary (the herb). Take off a few springs and put them into boiling water. Boil for 5 minutes then strain into a plastic bottle. Use the Rosemary water for a hair rinse.
  • Take 1 tablespoon of organic ground Cumin and add it to olive oil to make a paste. Apply it to your scalp. Leave it on for approximately 30 minutes and then wash it off.
  • Finely grate an onion, mix it with organic honey. Apply this mixture to your scalp. Leave it on for 20 to 30 minutes then wash it off.
  • Mix organic honey with a pasteurized egg yolk. Then apply it to your scalp. Wrap your scalp with plastic wrap. Leave on for 1 to 2 hours. When times up wash your head.
  • Once a week, before you wash your hair massage salt into your scalp. Rub the salt on your scalp for 5 to 10 minutes. Then wash your hair, as you would normally do.
  • Mix equal parts of castor oil and rubbing alcohol with one large finely grated onion. Rub this solution onto your scalp. Wrap with plastic wrap and a towel and leave on for 2 to 3 hours. Then wash off.
  • If you have access to fresh Aloe Vera, take a leaf and slice it down the side. Open the leaf up and rub the aloe onto the scalp.

Ok, so there are my remedies. Try one consistently for a month. After the month if it didn’t work move onto the next one. You should be able to get rid of male baldness easily with one of these techniques.

In addition to the many uses of honey, together with apple cider vinegar, it can cure  several different maladies, too. Below is an article about this honey recipe.

The health benefits of the apple cider vinegar and honey drink are widely known. This recipe has traditionally been used as an at-home self remedy for many ailments, and even an anti-aging elixir. Many people have smartly made use of its cleansing and disinfecting properties to self-detoxify their body. It is seen as a powerful cleansing agent and natural healing elixir with naturally occurring antibiotic and antiseptic that fights germs and bacteria.

Alkaline-Forming Diet

So, how does this vinegar and honey remedy actually work? A person’s bloodstream tends toward becoming acidic with our modern diet of fats, starches and processed foods, (e.g fast foods, meats, peanuts, seafoods, alcohol and coffee)and if your body is acidic, disease can flourish; if it is alkaline, it is in balance and can fight off germs and ailments such as bladder and kidney conditions, osteoporosis, brittle bones, joint pains, aching muscles, low energy and chronic fatigue, and slow digestion. Raw fruits, leafy green vegetables, legumes, and tea are examples of alkaline forming foods. Interestingly and ironically, a food’s acid or alkaline-forming tendency in the body has nothing to do with the actual pH of the food itself. For instance, lemons and limes are very acidic, however the end-products they produce after digestion and assimilation are very alkaline so lemons and limes are alkaline-forming in the body. Likewise, meat will test alkaline before digestion but it leaves very acidic residue in the body so, like nearly all animal products, meat is very acid-forming. It is important to know that stomach acid or the pH of the stomach is an entirely different matter from the pH of the body’s fluids and tissues. The body has an acid-alkaline (or acid-base) ratio called the pH which is a balance between positively charges ions (acid-forming) and negatively charged ions (alkaline-forming). When this balance is compromised many problems can occur. The body is forced to borrow minerals-including calcium, sodium, potassium and magnesium from vital organs and bones to neutralize the acid and safely remove it from the body. And severe damage can be done to the body due to high acidity. Ideally, for most people, the ideal diet is 75 percent alkalizing and 25 percent acidifying foods by volume. Allergic reactions and other forms of stress also tend to produce excessive acids in the body.

The alkalinity of apple cider vinegar can correct excess acidity in our system and help prevent and fight infection. Honey added to the vinegar naturally makes the mixture more drinkable for people. And the good news is that unprocessed raw honey has been classfified as an alkaline-forming food. (Processed honey is only little acidifying and artifical sweetener is very acidifying). When you first drink the apple cider vinegar formula, it might taste horrible to you, but as your body becomes less acidic and more alkaline, it would begin to taste good. The ailments that could be cured by this apple cider vinegar and honey treatment include:

1. Premature aging

2. Obesity

3. Food poisoning

4. Heat exhaustion

5. Heartburn

6. Brittle nails

7. Bad breath

8. Arthritis

9. High blood pressure

10. High cholesterol level

Try this healthy and refreshing vinegar and honey drink! Essentially, to prepare:

* Mix a tablespoon of apple cider vinegar and a tablespoon of raw honey. (Apple cider vinegar is actually made from fresh, organic, crushed apples that are allowed to mature naturally in wooden barrels, but you can get it easily from the grocery shops or supermarkets.)

* Dissolve in a glass of chilled water.

* Take it twice daily.

Note: For this vinegar and honey remedy, do not get commercial distilled vinegars as they do not contain the same health values of organic, raw apple cider vinegar. The powerful enzymes and minerals like potassium, phosphorus, sodium, magnesium, sulphur, iron copper, fluorine, silicon, pectin and natural malic and tartaric acids, which are important in fighting body toxins and inhibiting bacteria growth, are all destroyed during the distilling process.

Honeys have different price tags, and most people don’t know why. Below is an article about the reasons why some honeys cost more than others.

It’s pretty obvious to me that organic honey is fast gaining a strong foothold in the honey market.

When I first saw it on the shelves and its big price tag during my grocery shopping, I always wondered what it was and how different it was from the rest of honey varieties. It was only later that I found out that for honey to be certified organic, the manufacturer has to meet a set of very stringent organic standards and conditions during the honey production (set by a organic agriculture certification body), which include source of the nectar, honey bees foraging area, bees management, honey extracting process, transportation, processing temperature, and packaging materials. Organic honey is also tested to guarantee that it does not contain any residues of pesticides or environmental pollutants. Farming of organic honey has to meet rigorous and extensive monitoring and testing criteria of the certification body, for instance, the documentation of, and consultation with every land user within a five kilometer radius of the organic hives to ensure they are free of chemical residue; regular analysis and testing of honey samples; and hives have to be proven free of non-organic honey, sugar and antibiotics. Other than the reason that organic honey is a healthier choice, some ardent consumers of organic foods also feel that honey produced by organic farmers has a more superior taste than conventionally produced honey, and hence are more ready to pay for the extra cost.

I have been warned that some honey which has been packaged and proclaimed as organic may not be truly organic. It takes a lot of resources to ensure against contamination, either by wind or by bee travel, of the bees’ forage by non-organic pollen. Many beekeepers find it unfeasible for them to keep up with the stringent organic guidelines specified by the government. So, to be totally assured that I am paying for good quality honey that is really worth, I look out on the honey bottle for certification of IFOAM IFOAM the worldwide umbrella organization for the organic movement.

Honey is more than just a sweetener, it can be used for a lot of things.  Below is an article of the many benefits of honey.

For centuries, honey has been used for everything from sweetening foods and drinks to treating and healing our bodies. You get the most benefits from honey when it’s used “o-natural,” — which means raw and in pure, organic form — straight from the hive. Fresh Raw honey simply tastes better and is more potent.

Honey is considered one of nature’s purest foods. It’s a natural antioxidant, contains 22 amino acids, 27 minerals and 5,000 enzymes. Organic honey can help keep you healthy by boosting the immune system, fighting disease and treating a wide range of health problems from coughs and colds to digestion problems and arthritis.

Other health benefits that come from using raw Organic honey is a very sweet list:

– Fight fatigue. Organic Raw honey contains carbohydrates that arm you with energy, endurance and strength.

– Breathe easier. Honey, taken before bedtime, can help with Asthma symptoms.

– Aching joints. Drinking honey in hot water with cinnamon has helped relieve the pain and immobility associated with arthritis.

– Hacking coughs. Using honey with other ingredients can help ease the annoying nighttime cough.

– Upset tummy. Because honey doesn’t ferment in the stomach, it is easily absorbed with no danger of bacterial infection.

Unprocessed, Raw honey actually helps heal burns, cuts, scraps and wounds. Its natural antiseptic properties can actually keep wounds clean and stop bacteria from spreading. Because it’s a natural antibiotic, it helps reduce swelling, promotes healing and preventions infections in burns.

Honey is also being used more thanks to “word of mouth.”

There are many oral benefits from honey as well. It can actually help heal cancer sores and bleeding gums. Honey is also used to fight bad breath all day when gargled in the morning.

The beauty of using raw, Organic honey is more appealing then ever.

Applying a small amount of honey over the skin, then rinsing off leaves skin baby soft. Honey is also used as part of homemade facial masks to help tighten pores and soften facial lines. Using honey on the hair and scalp prior to washing leaves hair shiny, soft and full of body. Finally, honey used as an antibacterial soap helps clear up facial blemishes.

The honeymoon is never really over.

It’s been discovered that Raw honey actually helps men with problems of impotency and women with infertility problems. In fact, Raw honey mixed with warm goat milk can actually increase a man’s sperm count considerably.

You will lose more than you will gain with honey.

More people are using honey as part of their weight-loss program. Honey actually helps reduce fat buildup and metabolize cholesterol which is a factor in causing obesity. Honey also contains the vitamins and minerals that the body needs when you are on a strict diet.

Finally, here’s some food for thought about organic raw honey.

In its purest form, Raw honey contains no preservatives, artificial colorings or additives — so when you cook with it, all you’ll taste is the sweet goodness. It’s also used more and more as a sugar substitute because you get fewer calories, is easier for the body to process and brings out the flavor of your foods and beverages.

Keep your honey in the raw.

It’s only natural that going organic provides a healthier mind, body and spirit. Honey is a gift from nature — open it, enjoy it and use it — because the benefits will never spoil.

Want to try out a natural product from raw honey then visit the Mama Healthy website to try out a dry organic honey product called organic honey crystals.
