Product Description
Teavana’s exclusive Hawaiian Lehua Gold honey is produced by bees located in the upland native forests of the volcano Mauna Loa in the remote Ka’u district on the Island of Hawaii, and they gather nectar almost exclusively from the lovely and delicate Lehua flowers. The bright red Lehua flowers are symbols of erotic love and are sacred to Pele, the goddess of fire and volcanoes. The bees’ hard work yields an extraordinarily full bodied, rich honey with a very pleasing buttery-floral flavor reminiscent of English toffee. Our Lehua honey will naturally form very fine, almost white crystals after it has been bottled.
